Hello :wave:! These are the Working Group (WG) Weekly Updates for the week of May 2 - 9. Within this post you’ll find what’s been happening lately in and around our many calendar calls. :dove: Gravity

  • Get ready for the 3rd Graviton! It will be starting on the 24th of May!
    • We have uploaded the study plan. You will be able to register on this same post.
    • There will be 10 sessions, held on Tuesdays 2:00 pm EST - 8:00 pm CET
  • On Wednesdays, we have our WG’s coordination call at 5 pm CEST.
  • Our weekly book club is currently reading Margaret Wheatley’s Who Do We Choose To Be? Last week, we went over Chapter 7, which is about “who do we choose to be”. We meet every Thursday at 3 PM EST / 9 PM CEST, right after the community call.
  • Every Friday, at 17:00 CEST, we have a Psychology and Mental Health Research sync.
  • If you’re in need of help managing a conflict, you can make a request through our typeform
  • Last Friday we held an AMA session at Aragon’s discord about conflict management.

  • Praise Practice: Type your praise. Transcription of praise hasn’t been as succesful as we’d wanted it to be so we recommend you all to start typing your praise. Let’s get better quantified, and rewarded!
  • We have been reassessing our Mission Alignment.
  • Boundaries: How can we better understand them and apply them to the organization?
  • Our weekly sync is on Wednesdays at 1pm EST/ 7pm CET.
  • Bends has done an amazing work collecting the data sources for our Ecosystem Health Metrics study.
  • The Sampo WG has had its kicking off meeting! Its up and running!

:moneybag: Sampo

  • We’re at the genesis of a new WG! Sampo is the Finnish mythic “Horn of Plenty.” It symbolizes this working group’s purpose: community wealth.
  • This WG will focus on financial management, income generation, and demand for the TEC token.
  • Forum Highlight:
    • Meetings are Tuesdays at 22:00 CET on the Sampo VC within our Discord server.

  • We’v reached 2,100 members on Discord!:confetti_ball:
  • And we’ve personally welcomed 500 of them!:open_hands:
  • This week we did an outreach to Discord users to active their praise-giving powers: 170 people were messaged; 40 people weren’t found.
  • We’re continuing to improve our TEC Engagement Processes.
  • Forum Highlight:
    • TEC Lounge is now at 4PM CET on Fridays.

:microscope: Labs

  • We already had our last session of Summon Your Own Discord Bot Army event. But we might carry on with it if nothing else comes up.If you have any ideas for the labs, let us know!
  • The Proposal Inverter DAO2DAO Models Workshop happens on Wednesdays 9:00 PST / 18:00 CEST. If you missed it, here’s a link to a presentation given in 0mega about the Proposal Inverter.
  • TEC Token Engineering Fellowship: We are having talks about having someone with a technical background to work on the TEC token.
  • Below are our office Hours:
    • From Longtail Financial: Tuesdays & Thursdays at 22:00 CEST / 12:00 PST on the LTF Discord server.
    • From BlockScience: Thursdays at 9:00 PST via Zoom call (ask @Mount Manu on Discord for the link).
  • The Pre-Registration to our TE Fundamentals Course is open.
  • Help us build the TEC Lab! We are looking for proposal contributors. If you’re interested, get in contact with YGG or Tamara.

  • We currently have 1 funding proposal available for execution on Gardens:
  • Here are the updates specific to each of the 4 teams that comprise our T.E.A.M. collective:
    • TE Academy team (syncs on Mondays at 17:00 CEST / 10:00 CT):
      • Recent agenda points.
      • Working on outreach for educational projects in other DAOs (e.g. HER DAO and Espacio Cripto).
      • Actively promoting the TE Fundamentals & Graviton training (May 24-27) courses.
    • Twitter team (syncs on Mondays at 18:00 CEST / 11:00 CT):
    • Animation & Video Production team (syncs on Mondays at 19:00 CEST / 12:00 CT):
    • Translations team (syncs on Mondays at 21:00 CEST / 14:00 CT):
      • Recent agenda points.
      • Gravity has resolved the issue that arose and so the second batch of translations will be on the works soon.
    • Marketing team (syncs on Mondays at 22:00 CEST / 15:00 CT):
      • Recent agenda points.
      • Bi-weekly Newsletter #3 will be sent out this week.
      • As per Transparency’s request, we are working on a special newsletter to showcase their latest audit.

  • Quant #9 has finished and it is now closed.
  • We’ve a great upgrade to marking duplicade praise.
  • The Rules of Praise document has been updated. If you like giving praise, go check it out!
  • If you haven’t yet activated your new Praise Bot, please enter the command /activate on Discord, in any chat, and sign into the message with your Ethereum address.
    • When you do start praising people, please be specific about the action being praised, be descriptive about why you’re grateful, and elaborate on the implications of that particular good deed within our community.
